The flag of Colorado consists of three equal sized horizontal stripes. The top and bottom stripe are blue and the middle is white. To the left side of the flag there is a yellow circle that is outlined with a red letter C.

The Blue stripes represent the skies over Colorado. The white symbolizes the snow in the mountains. The yellow stands for gold and the red represents the soil of the land. The capital 'C' obviously stands for Colorado.

The flag was adopted on Mar. 31, 1964. Colorado is the 38th state of the union, gaining statehood on the 1st of August 1876.
